Linux Foundation General Manager of AI & Infrastructure

Mark Collier is a longtime open-source strategist and the current General Manager, AI & Infrastructure at the Linux Foundation. He co-founded both the OpenStack project and the OpenInfra Foundation, guiding a small NASA–Rackspace collaboration into one of the most active open-source communities in history igniting a multi-billion-dollar cloud market. At the Linux Foundation he now focuses on the next wave of open technology—AI—working with companies, researchers, and developers to build a vendor-neutral stack that keeps intelligence infrastructure accessible to all. A regular keynote speaker and commentator, Mark translates deep technical shifts into clear strategic insight and for rallying diverse communities to deliver the future of computing in the open.

演讲：Training, Inference, Agents: Beyond Apps in the AI-Native World

AI’s center of gravity has shifted: Google reports 480 trillion tokens served in April 2025—50X more than a year ago. Training runs still grab headlines, but the real scale is now in inference, and the next wave is autonomous agents chaining thousands of calls per task.

Mark Collier, COO of the OpenInfra Foundation, maps this new landscape and shows how three open-source pillars unite to meet it:
*Training: PyTorch driving frontier model research
*Inference: ONNX Runtime, the brand-new LLM-d distributed engine, and KServe, reducing latency at scale
*Agents: emerging protocols such as MCP and A2A orchestrating complex workflows

Running on Linux, Kubernetes, and OpenStack, this “AI-native” stack stretches from edge devices to hyperscale clusters, enabling hardware vendors, cloud providers, and service integrators to shape the infrastructure that will power the Intelligence Age.
